COINTELPROLOGIA puertorriqueña/ Puerto Rican COINTELPROLOGY

La lucha para la descolonización de Puerto Rico siempre ha estado fragmentada por las siguientes razones.

·         Puerto Rico siempre ha sido una colonia.  Primero, fue una posesión de España por más de 400 años, y luego, del gobierno de Estados Unidos por los últimos 117 años.

·         Colonias son para explotarlas.  Para poder explotarlas para siempre, el imperio no le enseña su verdadera historia.  Si se la supiera, habría una revolución eventualmente.  Por eso es que pocos puertorriqueños conocen su historia.  Los poquitos que la sabemos es porque nosotros mismos la hemos aprendido por nuestras  cuentas. 

Para los que sabemos nuestra historia y hemos decidido luchar por nuestra independencia, nuestro próximo obstáculo es COINTELPRO. 

COINTELPRO es el programa de contrainteligencia del FBI.  Su propósito es mantener las cosas como el gobierno de Estados Unidos lo quiere.  El FBI hará todo lo necesario para lograr su objetivo, incluyendo violar sus leyes y asesinar.   Hay varios libros sobre COINTELPRO para leer.  El que yo leí fue uno publicado en los años 1970’s llamado, The COINTELPRO Papers. 

Una parte importante que hace COINTELPRO es asegurase que los puertorriqueños no se unan para lograr su descolonización.  Al evitar que nosotros desarrollemos un tsunami de gente para obligarle a cumplir con las 33 resoluciones de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) para nuestra descolonización  inmediata, el gobierno podrá mantenernos en el coloniaje para siempre. 

Mientras tanto, el gobierno de Estados Unidos pretende que no tiene nada que ver con nuestras peleas.  El gobierno de Estados Unidos le dice al mundo que está dispuesto a darle a los puertorriqueños lo que quieren, pero que somos nosotros que no nos decidimos.  Esa es la segunda decepción.   

En realidad, los puertorriqueños no tenemos nada para decidir por ahora.  La Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) determinó en el 1960 que el coloniaje es un crimen en contra de la humanidad por su amenaza a la paz mundial.  Por lo tanto, le toca unilateralmente al gobierno de Estados Unidos a entregarle a Puerto Rico su poder para gobernarse.  Entonces será cuando Puerto Rico tendrá que decidir su futuro sin intervención extranjera.   

Por lo tanto, es un prerrequisito para todo aquel que decida entrar en la lucha para descolonizar a Puerto Rico  que entienda COINTELPRO, para evitar caer en la trampa que nos mantendrá en el coloniaje para siempre. 

No espere que el gobierno de Estados Unidos ayude a descolonizarte ya que fue él el que decidió unilateralmente hacernos su colonia.  ¡Además, los que mantienen colonias, no creen en la justicia para todos!

 

 

The struggle for Puerto Rico decolonization has always been fragmented due to the following reasons.

·         Puerto Rico has always been a colony. She was first Spanish possession for over 400 years, and then of United States government for the past 117 years.

·         Colonies are for exploitation.  The empire must not teach its colony the real history if it wants to keep its colony forever.  If the colony were to learn its history, a revolution would eventually occur.  This is why, most Puerto Ricans do not know their history.  Those of us who do is because we have dug it out on our own.
 

For those of us who have learned our history and have decided to fight for decolonization, our next big obstacle is COINTELPRO.

COINTELPRO is the FBI’s code name for its Counter Intelligence Program.  Its purpose is to make sure that things stay the way the US government wants.  The FBI will do whatever it takes to maintain the status quo.  That includes violating its own laws and committing murder!  There are various books about COINTELPRO that you could read.  The one I read was published in the 1970’s and is called, The COINTELPRO Papers. 

A big part of what COINTELPRO does is to make sure that Puerto Ricans don’t collaborate to decolonize themselves.  By preventing us from creating the tsunami of people necessary to force the US government to comply with the United Nations’ 33 resolutions to immediately decolonize Puerto Rico, it can keep us a colony forever.
 

In the meantime, the US government pretends that it has nothing to do with our fighting.  It tells the world that the US government is willing to give Puerto Ricans whatever they want, but that we are the ones who can’t decide.  And that is the second deception.
 

That fact of the matter is that Puerto Ricans have nothing to decide at this point.  The United Nations (UN) determined in 1960 that colonialism is a crime against humanity, because of its threat to world peace.  Therefore, it is the United States government that unilaterally has to give Puerto Rico her power to govern herself.  Then, would be the time for Puerto Ricans to decide their own future without outside interference.
 

Therefore, it is a prerequisite for everyone who decides to fight for Puerto Rico self-determination to understand COINTELPRO, so that we can avoid falling into the trap that will keep us a colony forever. 

 

Don’t expect the US government to decolonize us, because it was the one that unilaterally decided to make Puerto Rico its colony in the first place.  And besides, those who maintain colonies, don’t believe in Justice for all.
